Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence are amazing project management and collaboration tools.  Users can manage tasks, content, and documents within the systems.  While they each have their own extensive capabilities, there are many add-ons on the market to expand upon them. Let’s explore the best Atlassian Marketplace apps for Jira and Confluence.  As an Atlassian Gold Solution Partner, our team is consistently helping clients with new implementations, or supporting their use of Jira or Confluence to solve a business challenge.  Through that pursuit, we are consistently asked “What are the best Atlassian marketplace apps?”  And here is our answer.

Not Familiar with the Atlassian Marketplace?

Atlassian Marketplace is an online platform that sells third-party extensions and plugins for Atlassian products. Users can purchase apps that allow them to customize tools such as Jira and Confluence. These apps may add new features or integrations tailored to the specific needs of a business.

Best Marketplace Apps for Jira and Confluence

While there are many beneficial add-ons and plug-ins in the Marketplace, here are a few popular apps that our experts recommend.

Jira and Confluence Cloud Backups – Revyz

Revyz Data Manager is a backup tool for Jira and Confluence. It automatically backs up data and provides on-demand granular recovery, restoring objects, attachments, spaces, and more. Additionally, Revyz for Jira provides analytics to clean up and optimize instances. Revyz is the only natively integrated data management solution for Jira or Confluence. Atlassian has limited native options available, making Revyz a great add-on for data protection.

While Revyz has many uses, there are a few common issues it aims to address. One of the most common causes of data loss in Jira is accidentally deleting an issue or ticket. Revyz allows users to instantly restore this. Additionally, bulk changes or configurations can potentially impact projects users do not wish to alter. With Revyz, users can quickly revert these to their original state. Revyz also protects against internal and external threats as stolen data is easily recoverable.

Appsvio

Appsvio is a vendor that creates add-ons for Jira and Confluence. It offers several tools, mainly for ITSM. One of the more popular tools is the Issue Templates Agent for Jira. This tool allows users to speed up Jira issue creation by using templates. These templates autofill fields like summary and description. This can save users hours, allowing them to focus more on resolving tickets and less on creating them. Similar tools include the Issue Scheduler and Issue Merger.

Another popular Appsvio extension is the Feature Bundle for Jira Service Management. This extension allows users to customize a customer portal to offer self-service resolutions. This allows agents to spend less time answering simple questions for customers so they can optimize their time resolving tickets.

As far as Confluence add-ons are concerned, Appsvio offers the Content Template Macro. This tool displays templates created by administrators and then allows users to select a template and insert it into their page. The tool is great for continuity purposes, allowing pages to remain consistent when utilizing the same template.

Tempo Software

Tempo is another popular Atlassian Marketplace vendor, selling the number one tracking app for Jira. Tempo Timesheets is a Jira add-on that tracks log time with just one click. In addition to tracking hours, it enables users to classify work logs into billable & non-billable hours. Completed time reports allow for better resource allocation, risk management, and project performance monitoring, leading to a faster time-to-market.

Everit Kft

While Tempo Timesheets offers great time-tracking capabilities, Everit Kft’s Timetracker for Jira is a cost-efficient alternative.  While they are not identical, Everit Kft’s version offers similar capabilities with a user-friendly interface. Users can easily track their work and create reports based on these hours.

yasoon

yasoon offers a great integration tool called Microsoft 365 for Jira. This tool allows users to add Jira to their office tools such as Outlook, Teams, and To Do. This is great for creating new issues from emails, starting a Microsoft Teams chat within an issue, or even adding your calendar to Jira. Additionally, users may add their Jira Service Management portal to Teams for easy ticketing. All of these integration capabilities allow workflows to run smoothly.

APTIS GmbH

Epic Sum Up by APTIS GmbH is a project management tool for Jira. This tool offers visualizations such as project bars to track projects. Epic Sum Up allows users to get real-time metrics with live-calculated reports. It also offers a Detail View Editor, allowing monitoring at every hierarchy level. Users may also edit as they go with bulk-editing capabilities. Furthermore, Epic Sum Up offers Advanced Roadmaps which include summaries for time, story points, and more. These capabilities save time and improve project tracking.

Gliffy

If you are looking for an intuitive diagramming tool for Confluence, look no further than Gliffy Diagrams. This tool allows users to create detailed diagrams of key processes with interactive layers. Examples include flowcharts, network diagrams, and code-based diagrams. The intuitive interface enables teams to easily create technical diagrams with no prior training. Gliffy helps busy teams by making it easy to visualize complex structures and processes directly in Confluence.

Stiltsoft Europe OÜ

While Stiltsoft Europe OÜ is known for its experimental releases, its management tool, Table Filter, Charts & Spreadsheets for Confluence has become a hit with Atlassian users. The tool allows them to manage tables, make charts, and add spreadsheets on Confluence pages. Additionally, they can calculate data in pivot tables and create engaging reports from this. Data may be hand formatted or imported as a CSV or JSON file from an external source such as Jira. Similarly, tables may be basic or app-generated. These capabilities allow users to create and manage data visualizations in the best way for their team.
